DFNN, Inc., in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross, conducted a building-wide blood donation drive on November 6, 2019 organized by DFNN’s Human Resources and Administration Department (HRAD) and Sustainability Vanguards. Employees from DFNN, its subsidiaries and affiliates donated blood as well as those from HatchAsia, Inc., Pay8, Inc. and Asian Merger and Acquisition Links.
A total of eighty-eight (88) volunteers lined up to be screened during the donation drive. The activity accumulated a total of twenty-seven (27) bags of whole blood from successful donors. The donated blood will be kept in storage with the Philippine Red Cross to support the organization’s goal to extend assistance to those in need of transfusion to save lives.
Blood donors help patients of all ages, accident and burn victims, heart surgery and organ transplant patients, and those battling cancer. When processed, blood transfusions may come in the form of red blood cells, platelets or plasma.
As part of its ongoing sustainability program, DFNN will conduct a blood donation drive annually.
