DFNN CEO Calvin Lim says the company will soon roll out the first live dealer products in the Philippines’ e-casino market, which will help the game technology company reach a new segment of premium mass players.
“I’m very excited about the prospects of our upcoming live dealer project,” he told AGB in an interview. “This is a first for the Philippine domestic e-casino market and will definitely provide a totally new gaming experience for players on our Instawin gaming platform.”
“Presently, slot players largely dominate the market. Live dealer allows us to tap into the lucrative premium mass table game market.”
The product will be offered through DFNN’s KGI affiliate and will be available in 200 sites across the country. The company didn’t name the provider and said details of the rollout are still being discussed, including talks with the regulator, the Philippines Amusement and Gaming Corp.
Lim was appointed to his position in February. Prior to joining DFNN was working in Taiwan as co-founder and chief operating officer of Nogle Limited, a software development focused, venture studio for early-stage technology start-ups.
He says he has a two-fold approach to his strategy at DFNN.
“The first is to strengthen our current core competencies. It is important to ensure that we don’t rest on our laurels and sustain our positive performance in the long run. Second, is to identify the next vertical growth for the company to continue to add value to our shareholders and ultimately increase revenue for the Philippine government.”
“People like to talk about our gaming licenses and all the untapped potential it holds for the company and its stakeholders. Yes, the licenses do hold a large opportunity for us to merge technology and gaming innovations, however, DFNN is ultimately an IT focused company and I plan to extend our capabilities to other emerging markets in the sector.”
Recently, DFNN’s iWave Inc. associate signed a memorandum of understanding with the Cagayan Economic Zone Authority, which he says opens opportunities in the Fintech space, in particular with blockchain and cryptocurrency.
“We look forward to not only exploring this avenue, but to eventually be a market leader, similar to our position in the e-casino industry.”
