DFNN Inc., a firm that operates gambling kiosks and supplies software solutions to other firms, said its net income jumped six folds last year as a result of more deployment of gaming machines.
The company said its profits rose P144.77 million for the entire 2017, up from a mere P23.61 million it eked out in the previous year.
Revenues rose more than three-folds to P961.94 million, from the previous year’s P259.88 million.
“Our largely improved performance in 2017 is indicative of the effectiveness of DFNN team’s business planning and efforts. We are confident that this will carry over to this year as we add new revenue streams and extend our core competencies to other avenues within the technology sector,” company CEO Calvin Lim said in a statement.
He said revenues increased as a result of the four-fold rise in commission fees from platform affiliates and the improvement in service income attributable to revenue generated from software maintenance services.
Its number of electronic gaming machines deployed also increased to 6,093 in 2017, from 2,296 the previous year.
