Dear Team,
A Happy New Year to you all. I hope that you celebrated the beginning of 2019 in good spirits with friends and family.
As we begin 2019 and look ahead at the goals we wish to achieve in the next months, it will serve us to look back with gratitude at the milestones we have attained thus far. Last year, DFNN went through many developments, in sometimes less than ideal circumstances. For this, I would like to say a big thank you to everyone for working to ensure the Group’s continued success. In the last year, we have strengthened and grown the team and continue to fortify the core of our business in order to approach 2019 with confidence and optimism.
With a new year, however, come new challenges and objectives. With this, I’d like you all to keep a few things in mind:
1. Prioritizing overall wellness and health
More than your contributions to your teams, I value each of you as individuals. Given this, your holistic health and well-being are a top priority. This year, I’d like to encourage that you make your physical, mental and emotional health a prime focus. Through HRAD’s Interest Group Programs, I urge you to join activities and hobbies that you can learn and share with your peers. Wellness is much more than just physical health. I’d like DFNN to foster a culture where there is a delicate balance between work and play.
2. Scaling down expenses
As we continue to expand the business, our responsibility to our clients and stakeholders grows as well. We will be able to maximize our financial successes not only through relentless effort and solid execution, but also streamlining our overhead costs. This year, I challenge you to exceed your departmental goals while being conscious of how to minimize overall expenses.
3. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Focus
Last December, HRAD organized DFNN’s first official charity program at “Tahanan ng Pagmamahal” Children’s Home. This year, I’d like to focus on creating more opportunities for us to give back to society through a more solid CSR program. I believe that CSR is a critical component to a company’s operating ethos, principles and purpose and look forward to strengthening this aspect of our organization.
In all that we accomplish together, it is important that our endeavors and decisions stem from our core values of “malasakit”, integrity, teamwork and service—values that mold our identity as a Group.
The New Year is not merely the beginning of new ventures and new projects; it is a continuation of our commitment and resulting triumphs. By working together and keeping focused, we can realize our ambitions. As always, it is an honor to be at the helm and to serve you all.
